• Central drinking water is coming to your neighborhood. A safe, reliable supply will be available to you and your family whenever you want it. You will no longer have to worry about salt-water intrusion, droughts or mineral deposits in your laundry and hot water tank.
• The Nokomis Water Line Project is 100,000 feet of buried pipe serving approximately 1,500 properties.
• The county received 10 bids ranging from $7.2 million to $14.3 million. The lowest, qualified bidder was Volt Telecom Group at $7.2 million.
• It is a two year project. June 2007 until June 2009.
• Assessment dollar amounts will not exactly be known until the completion of construction.
