Community Action Agency Board
Ordinance:
Purpose: To advise and to make recommendations to the County Commissioners on: - programs and services for low-income households that are under the auspices of county government
- barriers that low-income households face regarding their ability to be either self-sufficient or upwardly mobile.
Requirements: 15 member tripartite board with: - five members either public officials or their appointed representatives
- five members elected representatives of the poor
- five members as representatives of business, industry, labor, religion, welfare, education, or other major group or interest in the community.
Term: Three years except at the discretion of the public entities.
Meetings: Second Thursday of each quarter beginning in March unless there is a need for a monthly meeting, 2 p.m.
