Biography
Tim Seibert

Born in 1927 as Edward J. Seibert, but more commonly known as "Tim," this Sarasota School Architect received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Florida after serving in the U.S. Navy flight program and majoring in art at Stanford University. Seibert's first house was his own home in Sarasota. He worked for different architectural firms for a few years before receiving his architectural registration and opening his own office in 1955. Seibert designed the Field Club additions, the John D. McDonald House, the Cooney House, the Wendel Kent Guest House, the Siesta Key Beach Pavilion and the Bay Plaza Condominiums in Sarasota, along with other, speculative residences for the Arvida Corporation. Seibert's fascination with Florida vernacular architecture shows itself in several of his projects, including the John D. McDonald House. Today Seibert is semi-retired and lives on an island south of Sarasota called Boca Grande.

His firm, Seibert Architects, has remained active.
