Collection explanation

This web site collection draws from the photographic collections of Crowley Museum and Nature Center, Historic Spanish Point, Sarasota County Historical Resources, and the Venice Archives and Area Historical Collection. The first phase of this project, the Settlement Period from 1840-1910, is made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act Grant through the Sarasota County Library System.

The images in this collection have been placed here for historical research purposes and have not been altered in the scanning process.
